Non-Compete, Non-Solicit, Confidentiality, and Trade Secret Agreements: What Still Works in California (and When)
California employers need effective tools to protect confidential information, customer relationships, proprietary assets, valuable employees, and other legitimate business interests. Although California sharply limits non-competes, employers still have options—if they know which restrictions are enforceable and which create risk. In this session, we cover non-competes and competitive activity during employment, non-solicit, confidentiality, and trade secret agreements, and conflict-of-interest/outside-employment policies. We also discuss common drafting mistakes, practical enforcement issues, and real-world scenarios involving employee competition and misuse of information.
